Offering Boarding - At Home -  Home Schooling

Solid Rock Ranch School was established in 2001 by a group of Christian educators as a special education, private Christian boarding school and is located on approximately 20 acres in Oroville California. We have expanded our services to include home intervention and on-line computer home schooling.

The school serves students that are high school dropouts and those who have learning difficulties and in need of a structured environment. We also provide education for young men who are experiencing difficulty performing in traditional schools due to behavioral problems, such as rebelliousness, authority issues, minor runaway, petty theft or shoplifting, anger control problems, and poor decision-making skills.

Solid Rock Ranch School provides individualized education for students that are gifted and in need to learn at their own pace.

Our curriculum comprises components for the students of the 21st Century and include knowledge about the world, creative thinking outside the box, education on the new sources of information and development of good people skills. By applying Christian principles we equip the students to be competitive on the world job market as global citizens.

Boarding School    
Solid Rock Ranch School's boarding school is for boys ages 12 to 17.  The school operates year round with 30 days a year of school vacation allowing students that are academically challenged to be caught up and succeed. Academic counseling is performed by the boys' deans and the school counselor. A psychiatrist and a psychologist are available to do evaluation if needed.

The core elements comprise ACADEMICS, WORK EDUCATION, LIFE SKILLS and SPIRITUAL HEALTH

Home Intervention 
Home Intervention is a program for boys and girls, age 8-25.  It is designed to equip teenage boys or girls and parents with skills that will help both parties prevent or manage home conflicts. The program is also geared to assist children who are failing in the traditional school system due to their behavior.

Home Schooling - Computer Based - On-Line Web Based or Off-Line
The home school programs are Bible Based (computer based) or Secular (browser based) Curriculums for Grades 2 - 12.  Applicable to credit loss solutions, additional coursework, and special education needs.

The applications provide automatic grading, record keeping, and lesson planning with the click of a mouse, allowing teachers more time with their students.   Most of the grading is automatic so teachers only have to grade subjective questions. Both applications offer flexibility to customize learning to fit students’ educational needs. Students are guided through the lessons at their own pace, giving them the chance to master concepts before moving on to more challenging lessons.
